EXCELLENT

i purchased your first version of this transfer seat which was very helpful in taking care of bathing my wife afflicted with Alzheimer's. THIS NEW VERSION IS FAR SUPERIOR AND WORTH THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. The low-profile tub-mount attachment to the side of the tub makes all the difference. Kudos for your re-engineering! You must make a better effort to make this product known to those who are caring for their loved ones at home!!!

Game changer

My dear wife is in dire need of a hip replacement, making bathtub accessibility not only painful but dangerous. After a recent fall, we knew we had to do something. The Eagle Health Tub-Mount Swivel Sliding bench seemed to be the perfect answer. It was. The difference this device makes is the difference between avoiding showers and taking one anytime it's desired.

The sides on our tub - a whirlpool model - are quite high, and the outside tub wall is pretty thick, yet this transfer bench fits. It's very secure. My wife just hits five feet tall, so the height is a problem nevertheless. We use a small flat step so that she can stand enough to sit on the seat. That gave us the few extra inches in height she needed.

Due to the configuration of our bath, necessity called for us mounting the bench just in front of the faucet. Of course, this would be backwards. Still, it's no problem as the issue is getting into and (worse) out of the tub. Once she's in, she can stand, turn around, and sit on a seperate small seat.

As you might imagine, the bench is pretty much in the way when I use the same bathtub and shower. Fortunately, the structure of the unit is built of high strength alloy, and is surprisingly light ...especially considering the strength. It's no problem at all to remove the unit from the tub and replace it when needed. It only takes a few seconds to loosen the screw knob and lift the unit away.

Overall, we are quite pleased with the Tub-Mount Swivel Sliding bench. It's very well made and engineered. The shipping from Eagle Health was twice as fast as expected.

We definitely recommend this transfer bench.
